Struggling with mobility?

Are you struggling with mobility, finding your wheelchair uncomfortable, or experiencing difficulty with transfers in and out of bed? Perhaps getting around your home, accessing the community or showering safely and independently has become more challenging.

The right assistive technology and equipment can make a significant difference.

Our Occupational Therapists can assess your individual needs and explore solutions such as wheelchairs, seating systems, transfer equipment, shower commodes, beds and pressure care equipment, helping you move more safely, comfortably and independently.

Need a safer bathroom experience?

Have you experienced difficulty getting in and out of the shower, safely using the toilet, or having enough space to move around your bathroom?

Perhaps your current bathroom no longer meets your needs, or reduced strength or mobility is making everyday tasks increasingly difficult.

Complex bathroom modifications can provide practical solutions tailored to your abilities, routines and goals. Our Occupational Therapists can assess your needs and work with you to develop a safer, more accessible bathroom that supports independence, dignity and confidence.

Vehicle modifications

Have you experienced difficulty getting in and out of your vehicle, transferring safely, loading your wheelchair or operating the pedals? Perhaps reduced strength, mobility, coordination or fatigue is making driving increasingly difficult.

Solutions such as hand controls, steering aids, hoists, transfer equipment and wheelchair storage systems can be tailored to your individual needs.

Our Occupational Therapists can assess your requirements and work with you to identify the right vehicle modifications to support safe, comfortable and independent driving and community access.

OT Driving assessments

Have you stopped driving and need to regain your confidence behind the wheel? Do you need to re-learn driving skills, require hand controls or other vehicle adaptations, or need an assessment to determine whether you can safely return to driving?

Our Occupational Therapists can provide comprehensive driving assessments tailored to your individual abilities and goals.

We can identify practical strategies, recommend appropriate vehicle modifications and support you through the process of safely returning to driving and maintaining your independence in the community.

SDA assessments

Are you living in a home that no longer meets your needs? Finding it difficult to move around safely, access your bathroom or kitchen, or manage your daily routines independently?

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) may provide a housing solution designed around your functional needs.

Our Occupational Therapists can assess your abilities, support needs and current living environment to determine whether SDA may be appropriate and provide recommendations to help identify the most suitable SDA design category and features for your needs.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) may provide the right level of assistance to help you live more safely and independently.

Our Occupational Therapists can assess your functional abilities, daily support needs and goals, providing recommendations to help identify the appropriate supports and living arrangements for you.

Our Approach to Occupational Therapy

At Ganly Allied Health, our approach to occupational therapy is specialised, practical and focused on helping people achieve greater independence, safety and participation in everyday life.
